NCIPM at a Glance |
Swami Sahajanand Saraswati Extension Scientist/worker AwardDr. P. Jeyakumar of NCIPM was awarded the extension scientist award of ICAR for the biennium 2007-2008 for his innovative research in developing extension education programmes, adopting extension methodologies and impact of the programme on the farming community. He initiated a pragmatic approach of IPM including IRM principles on a massive scale in Sirsa district and implemented nationwide Bt IPM training programme in cotton. The award was given on 16th July, 2009, the foundation day of ICAR at New Delhi. Rice IPM Team awarded ICAR Outstanding Team Award for the Biennium 2005–06ICAR had chosen NCIPM for its outstanding team award under the crop improvement category. Rice IPM team, comprising Dr D.K. Garg, Dr M.D. Jeswani, Dr R.K. Tanwar, Shri Vikas Kanwar, Shri S.P. Singh and Dr O.M. Bambawale was selected for this prestigious award which was conferred on 16th July, 2008 in a function to he held at NASC, Pusa Campus, New Delhi. The interdisciplinary team also included the names of Dr V.P. Singh, Ex-Principal Scientist, Division of Genetics, IARI and Dr Ashok Mehta, Director, Basmati Export Development Foundation (APEDA) who played an important role in popularization of IPM in Basmati rice growing regions. The ICAR Outstanding Team Award for the Biennium 2001-02 for IPM in CottonNCIPM Cotton IPM team was also awarded outstanding team award for biennium 2001-02 under the crop improvement category. Winning team comprised of Dr. Amerika Singh, Dr. O.M. Bambawale, Dr. O.P. Sharma, Sh. R.C. Lavekar, Dr. A. Dhandapani, Dr. S.N. Puri, Dr. C. D. Mayee, Dr. S.K. Murthy. |
