National Centre for Integrated Pest Management ,being
a national institute
of ICAR in the field of Pest Managenment, the institute has taken lead in
developing Plant protection Personnel Information System (p3is) under institute
project "Developemet of Plant Protection Personnel Information System" an online
database of profiles of scientists/researchers/ private organisation personnel/
NGO personnel working in the area of plant protection in the country.The system
may be used by different organisation's personnel, extention workers and farmers
for various appointements and interactions.

The p3is will serve as a window to access the profiles & achievements of plant
protection experts in the country. This will facilitate to establish dynamic linkage
among plant protection experts for information exchange, resource sharing, better
research collaboration and coordination. The p3is has been designed to provide
easy information access to different users. Database consists of information
for the following major disciplines:
- Agri. Entomology
- Plant Pathology
- Nematology
- Agri. Meteorology
- Agronomy
- Fruit Science
- Floriculture
- Vegetable Science
